• Welcome to the official website for North Staffordshire Bridleways Association.

North Staffordshire Bridleways Association was formed in February 1991. An advert in the local newspaper drew an overwhelming response from riders of every age and type from around North Staffordshire, Cheshire border and Shropshire.

Aims & Objectives:

  • To create a 60 mile long distance circular riding route around Newcastle and Stoke on Trent.
  • To organise a program of monthly pleasure rides throughout the year.
  • Improvement of gates and access to bridleways.
  • Research into rights of way.
  • Collection and submission of evidence to reclaim lost bridleways.
  • Informing riders about lost bridleways.
  • To promote safe off road riding.
  • Support a national policy to provide a comprehensive re-opening of rights of way.
  • To raise funds to finance our activities.
  • Clearance of overgrown bridleways.

NSBA publishes an annual newsletter outlining rides for the year which is distributed to members (adverts are free to members).

At the AGM awards are presented for accumulated mileage ridden at NSBA events.

We work closely with Local authorities to improve horse access and off-road riding routes.
